Mattanchery palace also known as Dutch palace was built by the Portuguese, and was later rebuilded and repaired by the Dutch. The Dutch palace has a splendid and variety collection of mural paintings and antique royal items which includes the furniture and weapons. It is a nice place to visit if you want to know about the history of Kerala and its Dutch colonial rule.
